I am enjoying your website.  We adopted a 9 month old female puppy from the Berkeley Animal Shelter 3 months ago, and after research, we believe she is a purebred Havanese. What a wonderful personality she has!  I don't know how anyone could have allowed her to become a stray without a microchip to identify her. Going to obedience classes has helped to socialize her, and she seems to be very eager to please. My husband and I have just started training her in agility. Anyway, we may be interested in getting her a companion sometime in the future. Do you have any older dogs available or know any breeders who do? Thanks, Starr [former Mama to two Lhasa Apso dogs] |

I met my first Havanese at a friends house. These guys were so happy, friendly and a joy. I fell in love instantly. I love dogs but became allergic. I have finally found a breed I can love on!! |

My daughter is very interested in this breed. We met a Havie from Havieneeds in Home Depot today. Great dog..I wanted a small breed that is trainable, easy to potty train, not so yappy, loves people and other animals. Please let me know in future litters. Thank you. |
